We offer consulting appointments for clients who wish for an in depth conversation about their landscape. Some types of commonly requested consulting visits include:
Diagnostic visits
If you suspect that your plant is not performing well, a diagnostic visit conducted when symptoms first appear can be extremely helpful. During a diagnostic visit, we will conduct a site visit to assess the situation and inform you about the health of your plant and the ecosystem it lives in. We’ll let you know what is normal for the species, and what is not. We will investigate the soil, water, all plant parts, and we will determine what we believe to be the root cause, and often can also identify a cascade of several issues affecting a single tree or plant which has led to the observed signs and symptoms. We’ll provide recommendations about how to move forward, whether it is feasible to retain the plant and if so, how to treat the issue. Our treatments recommendation center on integrated pest management and organic practices, though sometimes chemical recommendations are used as a last resort when there are not other effective treatments. You’ll receive recommendations for any changes you can make that will bolster the plant’s health and the overall health of the ecosystem the plant lives in. We’ll discuss your watering strategy, the condition of your soil, relationships between other plants in your landscape, and any other elements that are affecting the health of your plant.
