Our Philosophy

We practice science based conscious tree and plant health care according to industry best practices. We believe that healthy trees impart human happiness, and this translates to healthy communities. Ooh La La Arboriculture was named to give clients a feel for what we do: We enhance the natural beauty that already exists for every tree we work on, while achieving specific pruning goals to improve structure and function.

At Ooh La La, we consider all aspects of tree health including soil, site conditions, age and species, and the upper canopy. Your tree will look like a beautiful tree when we finish our work and will be less prone to breaking under the weight of snow, will be less susceptible to pest and disease, and will have improved structure. We often hear feedback that our client’s trees “look like they can breathe again.” We share our knowledge and expertise in the hope that teaching anyone who shows an interest in trees will have a positive and lasting effect, so that we may all enjoy the benefits that properly cared for trees provide.

We measure our success through customer satisfaction, community-wide recognition of the value of trees, and the accessibility of trees to be enjoyed by everyone.

We regularly attend training to keep our knowledge and skills at or above industry standard, and we have a lifelong love of learning. For clients who express an interest, we offer hands on one-on-one teaching of pruning or other skills as requested. We also teach classes in our community. Check out our Events Page to learn about our upcoming classes and events.

Ethics & The Environment

Our company is committed to conserving our shared ecosystem by working with electric tools, environmentally conscious liquids for our tools, and by taking a science based conscientious approach to managing pest and disease issues. We utilize integrated pest management, which includes cultural, biological, and alternative pesticide application methods before considering chemical approaches.
